Hi, I’m Sari (rhymes-with-Mary — something I’ve been saying for almost 3 decades). I have always loved telling and listening to a good real-life story — whether hilarious, just so relatable, insightful, honest, or inspiring. That said, it may seem like no surprise that I’ve created a place for inspiring people to share their stories, but it took a while to convince myself that I could make it happen. Some of us really need to marinate on an idea before we take action, but I’m telling you taking action and making moves without too much overthinking (maybe just a little) is the key to chasing your creative cravings. I have spent several years applying my creativity, strategic smarts, and understanding of psychology to craft brands’ stories that connect with people, and transformed some big national and global brands & businesses at an iconic Chicago advertising agency. As a podcaster, creative entrepreneur and community builder, I am passionate about creating a space for others to share their own life lessons and stories, and enjoy helping people uncover their own cravings to create, an essential ingredient for living life to the fullest. Have you heard the saying “You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending?” by C.S. Lewis? I 100% believe in bringing these conversations to you because I know that they could change your life if you take action when you feel inspired! I do have a lot of creative cravings: cooking, cake decorating, thoughtful gift-giving, iPhone photography, writing rhyming poems (mostly to celebrate birthdays), and salsa dancing, to name a few. I’m always craving my Bubby’s chicken soup with matzo balls (more on that in Episode 6), and I would love to experience as much of the world as possible, especially the Northern Lights. I’m so happy to welcome you — whether you are a creative foodie or hungry creative — to the Creative Cravings community!

HI! I’m Lauren. When I was a born, I was what you would consider a miracle baby. A congenital heart defect led to many surgeries & consistent doctor appointments. When something almost life-altering happens to you, you’re grateful for each day and hope to live it to the fullest. My biggest craving is to fully express all my creative gifts! So, these days, you will find me interviewing incredible guests for Creative Cravings podcast while also chasing many of my own creative cravings (and editing every episode myself). I tend to geek out over great song lyrics, I’m a Dancing with the Stars fan, and I love playing ukulele. One day I will get to do so in Hawai’i! If you follow us on Instagram @creative.cravings, stay tuned for some performances :) I just love inspiring and uplifting others and I know that as you listen to Creative Cravings, you will feel encouraged to turn whatever lemons you’ve experienced in your life, into delicious (metaphorical) lemon bars. If you are wondering what food I am currently craving, that would be yuzu, a citrus Japanese fruit that tastes like a mix of yellow grapefruit, lemon, and orange blossoms. I tried it in sake form at a ramen spot in Chicago and have been craving it ever since. Last thing: I wholeheartedly believe in Maya Angelou’s words: “Nothing can dim the light that shines from within.” This very thought keeps me going towards my dreams. Though it has been far from easy, I have enjoyed the purposeful work involved in sharing new Creative Cravings podcast episodes with you. We’ve expanded into Creative Cravings Shop and coaching / consulting, so make sure you RSVP to our newsletter at the bottom of this page to stay up date on what we cr(eat)e!
